Das erwartet Sie

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you act as the technical interface between European OEM customers and our Chinese Headquarters. You ensure alignment on engineering direction, design quality, timelines, and cost targets, while driving projects from concept through SOP.

You combine hands-on mechanical engineering expertise with strong communication skills and intercultural competence to represent the company confidently toward customers and to steer internal teams toward successful execution.

Customer Interface

  • Act as the primary technical counterpart for European OEM engineering teams
  • Build and maintain trusted long-term customer relationships
  • Capture, clarify, and translate customer requirements into structured inputs for HQ engineering teams
  • Lead or support customer design meetings, technical reviews, RFIs/RFQs, and requirement alignment sessions
  • Proactively identify customer pain points, risks, and upcoming needs

Bridge Function to Chinese HQ

  • Ensure smooth cross-continental communication between EU customers and HQ teams
  • Align engineering decisions, priorities, and schedules
  • Consolidate technical viewpoints to prevent misunderstandings and ensure rapid, high-quality response to customer requests
  • Communicate EU-specific design constraints, norms, and OEM expectations to HQ teams

Mechanical Architecture & Design Ownership

  • Own the mechanical architecture for current and next-generation platforms
  • Lead parametric modeling, GD&T application, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design reviews
  • Drive material selection, structural layout, and DFM/DFA decisions
  • Collaborate with CAE teams
  • Manage prototyping, mechanical integration, verification, and validation activities
  • Analyze test results and implement design improvements

Team & Supplier Interaction

  • Mentor and technically guide a small team of mechanical engineers
  • Oversee supplier engagement for mechanical components, tooling, and manufacturing feasibility
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews

Process, Innovation & Market Awareness

  • Monitor industry trends, benchmarks, and innovative technologies
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, modeling standards, and development workflows

    Das bringen Sie mit

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable technical field
    • Several years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in the automotive or Tier-1 supplier environment
    • Proven track record of delivering mechanical systems from concept to SOP
    • Strong proficiency in CATIA V5, CREO, or NX
    • Expert knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
    • Solid understanding of die casting, sheet metal, plastics, and joining processes
    • Experience mentoring or leading engineers and working in cross-functional teams
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Intercultural competence
    • Fluent English; German and/or Chinese are a plus
